Research in Worcester!

After walking around the St Johns area of Worcester completing the previous task set I noticed a fingerpost sign and also a vertical banner that i had never noticed before despite walking around that area numerous times.

The was a nice fingerpost sign located outside the hive in Worcester. It's pretty simple and i think the info graphics for each location are effective.

Here is the vertical banner located on the side of a building in the St Johns area of Worcester. This is obviously only advertising a shop and making it easy to locate for customers but is pretty effective!

Task 5

This is what I come up with for Task 5. I was going to create it on photoshop but decided to so how effective this sort of design could be as a printout. I think it works pretty well showcasing some key areas/shops in the St Johns area of Worcester.

Task 4

A - My intial thoughts on this brief were really good. I really like the idea of visiting the area we are asked to design for and it's also appealing that it's a live brief.
B - Visiting other areas with existing graphics that are similar to what we have been asked to design would be my first step in my research. I then thinking visiting the actual area would be vital within the research for this brief.
C -

Task 3 - Creating a Radiation Road Warning Sign.

Here are some sketches for this task that helped my come up with the final design.

This was the final design for this task. I wanted it to be simple and easily recognisable as warning sign. I used the main symbol for radiation but as some people still may not know what it represents text could be added underneath the sign.

Task 2 - From Sunshine to Sugar: The Process of photosynthesis in plants.
